Product list: The Anglican Trust for Women and Children is one of Auckland's major charities for women and children. It is also one of the cities oldest, with its origins stretching back to 1858. Our commitment to our founder's vision lives on today and although ATWC no longer runs orphanages, we support up to 3000 children and their families/whanau in the Auckand region, through 12 vital programmes at home, in schools and in the community. Every programme is different but each is part of an integrated approach, sharing the same goals to protect, nurture and provide opportunities for children and young people. Aiming, where possible, to reconnect families/whanau, empowering them to take control of their decision making and to enable them to face the future with hope. With a focus on early intervention, our services are aimed at strengthening the capacity of parents/caregivers in their parenting and care giving roles. ATWC provides emotional and practical support in the areas of parenting skills, child behaviour, relationship issues, early childhood education, abuse, neglect, family violence, separation, loss, grief, poverty and housing. We employ professional staff, and provide high quality innovative practice, working in collaboration with other agencies and services. ATWC is run by a Board of Trustees - a distinguished group of visionary business and community leaders who willingly give their time to the charity.
