  • Product list: The orchard is located inland from Cathedral Cove, on a headland between Hahei Beach in the East and Cooks Beach to the West, on the Coromandel. Originally part of the farm owned by the Stella Everard Trust. We purchased the well established orchard in December 2001. It was planted as a macadamia orchard in the early 1980s. The 16 acre site was chosen for its N W aspect and a fertile soil. The land is well serviced by several water supplies and includes a dam originally used for irrigation and a pond surrounded by wonderful natives. It is well sheltered by gums on the outer boundaries and internal hedges. The micro climate has enabled the commercial plantings of macadamias and citus to thrive, together with a great variety of pip and stone fruit, native and exotic trees. There is prolific wild bird life including turkeys, peacocks, quail, pheasants, hawks and many more. It has 2 substantial lockwoods, a large barn and double garage. One of these is now a farmstay. For more information or to book click here The farm is well serviced with a farm bike,John Deere orchard tractor and mower, chain saws, weed eaters etc to keep it well maintained. The macadamias are husked, within 24 hrs of after picking, then placed in 10kg bags and dried in a large container. We have now purchased our own cracking machine, so the nuts are being processed here. We like to sell on the local market, at fairs and Food and Wine festivals within the Coromandel. We play an active roll in the management of the orchard supported by a farm manager and sub contractors.
