Our coastal ships provide direct transport links for containerised cargo between Auckland, Canterbury and Nelson, and for roll on-roll off cargo between Wellington and Canterbury. We handle large volumes of international feeder cargo between New Zealand ports. We also operate trucks and trailers, plus a national distribution centre and coolstore, based in Christchurch. Working as needed with other freight operators, we ensure that customers with goods to move can rely on reliable, safe and cost-effective transport services. Ours is a total transport solution combining the environmental advantages of coastal shipping with efficient distribution and door-to-door deliveries by land. Pacifica has been an active member of the New Zealand Shipping Federation Inc. since 1985. Warehousing Distribution and Storage Distribution and storage facilities are also available in Auckland Wellington and Dunedin, linked to Pacifica's shipping and land transport services. Pacifica's main Christchurch facility handles all types of FCL and LCL freight on consignment, whether in transit by road and rail, or in storage awaiting delivery. This includes devanning and loading of containers, including a special skate table' for unitised steel cargoes. We provide managed warehousing and storage for dry goods and general freight, as well as domestic deliveries around the South Island for all types of cargo. Our centre also provides product "Pick and Pack" services for customers wanting regional or local delivery services handled independently of their own premises. Short or long-term storage is available for domestic and export-destined goods. Coolstore Chilled and Frozen Storage Pacifica operates a large, modern storage facility in Christchurch for all types of chilled and frozen goods. For customers throughout New Zealand, the coolstore provides a centrally located hub for the distribution of refrigerated foodstuffs and other commodities.
