Tauranga Aero Club has a flying membership of almost 200 pilots from a wide scope of aviation industry. Recreational Pilots to Top Dressing Pilots to Airline Pilots. Professional full time instructing staff and 3 part time instructors mean a great instructor/student ratio. Part 135 approved. (meaning charter and scenic flying.) Our graduating commercial pilots, who are offered employment get real hands on commercial experience. Great social atmosphere, sit around the fire and enjoy a drink from our club bar in winter or enjoy a BBQ in the summer sun on our deck. Open 7 days, allowing you more flexibility with your training. Monthly club competitions which improve your flying precision. Strong participants at national competition level. Tauranga Aero Club have always done exceedingly well at the National Competitions.
