Situated at the base of the Nautilus complex in the heart of Orewa, the establishment walls are adorned with large canvasses documenting the regions past, and its state-of-the-art interior with a stylish wooden finish, set the standard for a great night out. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with a dedicated area outdoors, dishes include a variety of fresh seafood and an assortment of exotic platters. A comprehensive and inventive beverage selection is highlighted by a specialty shot which involves the consumption of a genuinely preserved scorpion imported from Mexico, washed down with a shot of Skorrpio Vodka. The scorpion stinger is still attached and contains its venomous glands. We recommend that customers settle their accounts before eating one. Alternatively for the connoisseur, there is Monteiths on tap, a good selection of wines and a great cocktail menu with the current front runners being the âToblerone and the âWhite Chocolate Martini" In addition to quality music, live entertainment will also be a regular feature. Well known Freddy Mercury impersonator Steve Larkins performed his renditions to a receptive crowd recently, and more quality acts will follow.
