  • Product list: Western Diesel celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and with his extensive background in diesel fuel injection servicing, owner Bill Wilson has used his know-how to keep the company strong throughout the years, even in the tough times. Over the 30 years, particularly in this industry where technological advancements can change things dramatically, Mr. Wilson has seen a lot of changes and is constantly keeping up to date with more complicated and diverse types of diesel vehicles by getting extra training and studying service manuals. He says with the advent of Japanese imported vehicles bringing more of those types of vehicles to his workshop, it was something the company had to learn about. Western Diesel's 2600sqft workshop is complete with Hartridge testing equipment, a hoist for vehicle servicing and a Vector 10 flushing machine which comes in particularly handy for local garages, which can get their vehicles' petrol injectors cleaned and flushed. Mr. Wilson is currently upgrading some of the testing equipment to the latest electronic versions. Western Diesel is environmentally conscious and works alongside the Motor Trade Association and the Auckland Regional Council on its smoke-free campaign, fitting new nozzles to keep engines in a perfect, smoke-free condition.
